Deep Sky Objects with C8
Used my new C8 to view various objects.
Initially some high cloud then very clear after midnight. Sky moderately bright.
Jupiter quite detailed especially in equatorial belts.
M8 very nice nebulosity quite bright and stars perfect pinpoints.
M20 quite difficult and dim.
Omega Centauri very nice resolved to center.
47 Tucanae excellent condensed center well resolved.
NGC5128 quite dim but affected by very light cloud.
M28 M22 M4 all easy small globular clusters.
M6 and M7 both a bit too big for field.
Very nice images from the scope. Stars pinpoints, some reflections in eyepiece.
I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: Garbage: Democracy dies in darkness, especially when it is buried in garbage! (posted 2024-11-01 at 12:31:14). I do podcasts too!. You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2024-08-22 Stirring Up Trouble: Let's just get every view out there and fairly debate them..
