View Details of Installed Printers

Macs use a system called "CUPS" to manage printers. To get full details of printers installed on your Mac you can use a web browser.

First turn on the web interface. Type this in terminal: cupsctl WebInterface=yes
Then, in your web browser go to this site: http://localhost:631/printers/

You can then view details and even modify setup of printers from your browser. You will need the admin password for some functions.
