If Safari starts acting strangely on your iPhone or iPad, especially if old content won;t update, or an error condition persists unexpectedly, try emptying the cache. The cache is a set of files from the web stored on your device to speed up access in future. To clear your cache and browsing history:
1. Open the Settings app. 2. Tap Safari. 3. Tap Clear History and Website Data. 4. On the screen that pops up, choose Clear History and Data.
Quick tip: If the steps above don't empty your cache, try adjusting screen time restrictions and stop using iCloud sync before doing them again. To clear your cache but not your browsing history:
1. Open the Settings app. 2. Tap Safari. 3. Tap Advanced. 4. Tap Website Data. 5. Choose Remove All Website Data.
