Rogan vs Ardern Debate

This debate/discussion occurred on 03 Jul 2022 at 17:35:26...

This was in response to a comment from podcaster, Joe Rogan, who "slams Jacinda Ardern for her inability to answer questions - shut it down!"

Me Joe Rogan can see what a BS artist she is. Why can't many New Zealanders?

Opponent Because most Kiwis see through lying arseholes like Rogan (and Trump) in five seconds flat.

Me You think so? Do you have the stats somewhere?

Opponent Just a hunch. 1st time my wife heard Trump speak publicly her immediate reaction was "he is full of shit". Good on her! Maybe Kiwis are just smarter than Yanks?

I'm not sure what Trump has to do with this, but maybe this person knew very little about Rogan, so decided attacking Trump was easier. I wouldn't rate Ardern or Trump as a greater BS artist, but I think it might be more subtle in Ardern's case, or maybe she just get's a free pass from the media, so her inadequacies aren't exposed.

Me According to the stats I have, the average IQ of NZ and US is about the same. I think Ardern is a more subtle BS artist than Trump, that's what makes her dangerous.

Opponent How is she dangerous?

Me Seems kind and caring on the surface, but scheming and manipulative underneath. Also incompetent and corrupt, just to complete my criticisms. Sucked a lot of people into supporting her, like you, I'm guessing!

When I get no reply to a comment I'm never sure whether I have made a point which was so great that it could not be refuted, or if the other person just lost interest!

Me Can I also say that I initially recommended her to Labour as leader and voted for her in 2017. But since I saw her for what she really is, switched my vote to Act.

Any criticism of me for criticising Ardern because she is a woman, or young, or whatever, needs to account for why I recommended her for Labour leader in the first place, and why I voted for Labour, with her as leader, at the 2017 election.
