Simpson Desert

On the flight from Alice Springs to Sydney (about three hours) you pass over some of Australia's most isolated and desolate areas, including the Simpson Desert. There's just read dust and sand everywhere and nothing else. It must be one of the biggest areas of "nothing" anywhere on Earth.
