Aurora 2024

The sun was quite active during 2024 and 2025 and this meant a few quite bright aurorae were visible. As an amateur astronomer and photography enthusiast, I find these are a popular subject.

This one happened on 11 November 2024 and I saw it from Mornington, Dunedin. The structure and colour looks better in this photo, but it was quite prominent visually too.
