Akaroa Harbour

Akaroa is a small town, near Christchurch, New Zealand. We spent a couple of days there in 2022. This photo shows the calm waters of the harbour, framed by the twisted trunk of an old tree.

The aim here was to use the tree as a frame for the main subject of the photo (the harbour), and to use the texture of the tree as a contrast to the smoothness of the water.
