Transit 2004

These photos were taken in 2004 during my visit to Central Australia to observe a transit of Venus. We also toured around the area looking at all the famous features such as Uluru (Ayer's Rock) and the Olgas. Observing a transit is an almost unique experience since they happen so rarely. Of course, they do happen in pairs, so I have seen two even though many astronomers in the past have not seen one.

I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: Chuck: He was arguably the most famous pilot in history. (posted 2024-10-31 at 20:34:16). I do podcasts too!. You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2024-08-22 Stirring Up Trouble: Let's just get every view out there and fairly debate them..
