Start Up to OJB's Stories List Transit 2004 These photos were taken in 2004 during my visit to Central Australia to observe a transit of Venus. We also toured around the area looking at all the famous features such as Uluru (Ayer's Rock) and the Olgas. Observing a transit is an almost unique experience since they happen so rarely. Of course, they do happen in pairs, so I have seen two even though many astronomers in the past have not seen one. There are 45 photos in this story. Click the Start button to start viewing them. |
