Chard Farm (14)

We visited the Chard Farm vineyard on the way home and sampled some of their wines. The person who was serving the wine (Keith was his name) was an absolute classic! He was a real character and had all sorts of yarns about the old days in Dunedin, etc.

We bought three bottles of wine from here: a Riesling, a Sauvignon Blanc and, of course, a Pinot Noir - the variety Central Otago is famous for. The Pinot is the "Finla Mor" which was picked late in the year and has excellent flavour. It will be a top wine in a year or two, we hope.

Chard Farm's web site is at: www.chardfarm.co.nz.

I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: Nice Versus True: Are nice fantasies better than hard truths? I don't think so. (posted 2024-10-14 at 14:34:04). I do podcasts too!. You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2024-08-22 Stirring Up Trouble: Let's just get every view out there and fairly debate them..
