Summer has finally arrived in New Zealand! After a fairly pleasant November, we suffered through a very wet, windy, and relatively cold December and early January. Yesterday we finally got a day that was uncomfortably hot, with temperatures even in Dunedin (one of the cooler cities) in the high 20s (Celsius, about 80 Fahrenheit).
Last night we had a barbecue dinner, and it was still warm and light until about 10 at night. Today was also quite pleasant, but bit cooler during the afternoon, and next week is forecast to be good as well.
So the southern hemisphere summer seems to be with us, we just hope that it lasts through February and March, and well into April as well!
