I first created my web site a long time ago. It was originally simple HTML, because that was all we had back then; later I used newer versions of HTML and CSS; next I started feeding a lot of the content from MySQL databases, and used PHP for this and several other functions. But it still had that old basic functionality, and no mobile version.

So I decided to modernise the site, feeding all content from databases and using a lot more PHP. I also created a mobile version, using an adaptive system, because responsive did not allow the precision I needed for tables and other elements.

The old site had over 4000 pages, so the process of moving everything across will probably never end, but new content can be provided for both from the same databases.

At the time I wrote this (2022) the new site was usable but visitors still see my old site by default. Hopefully soon, the new site will be fully active!
