The Aerobix database was created in Panorama to store membership information for a local aerobics club. A pen scanner scans the bar code information on the membership card and this is used to look up the member's information. The scanner converts the bar code into characters which are sent down the ADB (Apple desktop bus) just like they came from the keyboard, so no driver was required.
