Most people would find a free blogging service or download and install an existing blogging package if they wanted to set up their own blog. Of course, that was far too easy for me. I wrote my own using PHP and MySQL.

My blogging system supports display, searching, password controlled entry and editing, and authorised comments. It has worked really well for the approximately three years I have been using it.
