Project number: 57 (number in database). Original project name: Dungeon App. Development type or programming language: Pascal. Platform designed for/with: Mac. Year of most recent major modification: 1988.
Dungeon was an early game designed to run on old black and white Macs. I used some tricky graphics techniques (for the time) like off-screen buffered graphics, transparency, layering and independent, overlapping objects. I got to the point where a dungeon could be drawn and a character could walk around it but I didn't take it any further than that. Another games that got started butnever finished! The concept I wanted to use was an open ended solution. I stored inter-relationships between objects and allowed the user to create a solution. There was not just one way to win like most adventure games.
