Macs use a system called "CUPS" to manage printers. To get full details of printers installed on your Mac you can use a web browser.
First turn on the web interface. Type this in terminal: cupsctl WebInterface=yes Then, in your web browser go to this site: http://localhost:631/printers/
You can then view details and even modify setup of printers from your browser. You will need the admin password for some functions.
I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: Sack Them All!: Let's find all the corrupt and incompetent managers and sack them all! You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2024-04-30 The Fall of Rome: I'm afraid that we really might be seeing the demise of the greatest era in history..
