Macs use a system called "CUPS" to manage printers. To get full details of printers installed on your Mac you can use a web browser.
First turn on the web interface. Type this in terminal: cupsctl WebInterface=yes Then, in your web browser go to this site: http://localhost:631/printers/
You can then view details and even modify setup of printers from your browser. You will need the admin password for some functions.
