When accessing App store, you might get this error: "The data couldn't be read because it isn't in the correct format", and other odd behaviour downloading, etc.
Removed these files from: ~/Library/Preferences/ ... com.apple.appstore.commerce.plist com.apple.appstore.plist com.apple.appstore.plist.lockfile com.apple.appstored.plist Then reboot

I have tested that this tip works, but there are many possible ways it might cause problems because you have a different version of the system, a bad internet connection, and many other things. So I can take no responsibility if it causes problems. I'm sorry if it does, but that risk is yours!
