Pigroot Snow

Otago experiences some of New Zealand's more extreme weather, especially in Central Otago which is cold in winter and quite hot in summer. Obviously, this photo - which was taken on a road known as the "Pigroot" - was teken near mid winter!

You might think that having such a limited range of colours (green to white) might not improve a photo, but I find that often increases the mood portrayed by a photo, and I think enhances the image in this case.
