Up to OJB's Photos List Return to Previous PageMore Jet Boating! This time Phillip was a bit wimpy - he was too cold! Nicole loved it though. The jetboat ride starts at Queenstown, speeds across the lake, under the bridge (which goes south out of town), on to the Kawarau River (which is the only river draining the lake), and onto the famous Shotover River. Unfortunately, this ride only follows the lower Shotover so it doesn't go through any really narrow rocky gorges, but its still pretty exciting blasting past rocks and trees just centimeters away at 70 to 80 kilometers per hour! |
