Biking in the Bush

A track lead up the hill behind out unit at Punga Cove. We hired some bikes to go for a ride up there but I must admit it was hard work on the steep hills, especially when it was also fairly warm.

The difficulty with this photo was allowing for the difference in strong sunlight on the tops of the trees and the deep shadows where Nicole is riding. I just used the exposure lock function on the EOS350D and exposed on a mid-point between the two extremes. Use of the "curves" function in Photoshop also helped.
