Marlborough is a region at the north-east of the South Island of New Zealand which is famous for two things mainly: being New Zealand's main wine producing area, and home of the iconic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc; and being the location of the Marlborough Sounds, a scenic area and the center of numerous water and other outdoor activities.
Another, less well known, aspect of the area is aviation. There is an air base there and it is home to an air show, run every two years, which you can find a report for in the aircraft section of this web site.
