Engines (7)

We decided to take a short trip on the "Earnslaw" - the vintage steam ship that runs on Lake Wakatipu.

Phillip was a bit scared about watching the engines running initially but once I coaxed him into the engine room he was fascinated and didn't want to leave again! Two stokers shovel coal into the boilers and keep the old machinery oiled and running smoothly. Passengers can get within touching distance of the engines and experience the heat and noise of being in the engine room.

I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: Deranged Rants: Many of them are totally feral, unhinged, and totally irrational. (posted 2024-11-13 at 17:55:14). I do podcasts too!. You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2024-08-22 Stirring Up Trouble: Let's just get every view out there and fairly debate them..
