Cloudy Bay produced the wine that made New Zealand wine famous internationally. Of course, I'm talking about their Sauvignon Blanc. This style has now become a standard by which all others are judged, and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in general is accepted as one of the great varietal standards. Other varieties produced are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. As well as their own plantings they deal with several other growers and the average annual crush is about 1200 tonnes.
