Internet

Entry 30, on 2004-08-26 at 17:37:42 (Rating 1, Computers)

I can't stand it any more! I need faster Internet at home, and my wife doesn't want to miss any more phone calls, so I have finally bought an ADSL connection.

I upgraded the central Ethernet in our house to new switches running at 100 MB/s and have bought an ADSL Ethernet router so I am all set up to get on line properly instead of using one standard phone line for about 10 computers and standard voice calls.

I hope this doesn't mean I spend a lot of extra time at on-line communities like SpyMac, but I suspect it will. Maybe I'll be able to do everything so much more quickly that I will actually spend less time on the Internet. That doesn't seem very likely, I'm afraid!
