Transit 2004, 31
We decided to travel north from Alice Springs to find a really clear spot to observe
the transit. Just north of Alice the Stuart Highway crosses the tropic of Capricorn.
This is the marker, with the Moon in the background. The tropic is 23.5° south and
is the furtherest south the Sun is ever overhead.
